About me

A degree in European Technology Marketing and a pre-children career in advertising was replaced with teaching life skills to both children and adults to swim. This included babies and their Mums and also more serious sportspeople. I then moved onto cycling owning a learn-to-ride scheme for children which then progressed to teaching Bikeability which is skills for adults and children to use the roads with all traffic.

I now am passionate about looking after bodies in a different way having been fascinated in the way the body moves, repairs, gets injured and heals. Sports massage requires knowledge from all areas from nutrition and development to injury and postural analysis. I am qualified to level 4 sports massage and am committed to continuing my knowledge and skills with courses, reading and my own research. I challenge myself to keep stay current with new research for example thoughts on healing, repair and rehabilitation and constantly question outdated beliefs and systems.

I have completed postural analysis courses and seminars for muscle imbalances, strengthening techniques and muscle energy techniques. I am currently studying for a course in strength and conditioning for therapists and am now qualified to treat sports injury with acupuncture. My most recent qualifications have been with feet. Both for pain and rehabilitation but also as a means of treating the whole body through Reflexology. I can now offer this as a stand alone treatment. I can also offer treatment during pregnancy, either for injury, specific pain or general relaxation.

I work from my clinic at my home most days , at The Uppingham School Sports Centre and at Freedom Physio in Ketton on a Wednesday - this gives me rounded experience of many types of issues and pain that people experience.
